India is gradually coming out of the
uncertainties that engulfed it during the
second wave of COVID-19. India’s composite
Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for July
rose to a three-month high in July with the
easing of lockdowns, according to IHS Markit
Survey, corroborating an upswing in other
parameters of the economy.
Economic recovery, to a large extent, depends
on the country’s progress in the vaccination
drive. The Government is aiming to inoculate
close to 90 percent of its adult population
by March 2022, which will bode well for its
progress on all fronts.
