UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE Former President No More

UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, Italian Machine Tools, Robots & Automation Manufacturers Association’s Past President, Giancarlo Losma passed away. He was President of the Association from the year 2008-2011.

A visionary entrepreneur and founder of Losma SpA, based in Curno (Bergamo), he was 74 years old. He had many ideas for the future of its entrepreneurial activity, to which he devoted his entire life, assisted by his wife, Letizia.

He joined UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE in 1989 and became a member of the Steering Committee in 1996, a position he held until 2003. He then served as the association's vice president for several years, from 2003 - 2008, before being elected president.

From 2011 - 2015, he served as president of FEDERMACCHINE, the Italian Federation of Associations of Capital Goods Manufacturers, which includes 12 associations, including UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE.

Giancarlo Losma was one of the promoters of the creation of the ITC network, Italian Technology Center in India, which was established in 2012 and now includes about ten capital goods enterprises, Losma being the leading company since its inception. The network, based in Pune, thus loses its historical president, who was involved in its development and growth, leaving a large void in the hearts of its collaborators on the ground. He served as president of Piccola Industria di Confindustria Bergamo (Committee of Small Industries of Confindustria Bergamo) and was a member of the Italian delegation of CECIMO, the European Association of Machine Tool Industries.
