Bengaluru, India – Simple Energy Pvt Ltd, Bangalore based electric vehicle (EV) startup, has deployed Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud through value added partner, EDS Technologies, to design and manufacture its first electric scooter, Simple Mark 2. The company was part of the SOLIDWORKS for Entrepreneurs program before switching to SOLIDWORKS applications for designing the electric scooter through value added partner, Best Engineering Aids & Consultancies. Dassault Systèmes has extensive experience globally working with leading EV manufacturers such as NIO, EVUM MOTORS, QEV Technologies, XYT, Canoo, and others.
The company prioritizes R&D and collaborates closely with stakeholders to launch new affordable EV scooters for students, professionals, and in tier 2/3 cities in India. The company implemented the 3DEXPERIENCE cloud platform to address current insights challenges across all disciplines, improve collaboration, and visualize 3D design with real-time simulation. The platform enabled the company to collaborate and streamline the design process in accordance with production and manufacturing requirements, resulting in cost savings. The company designed Simple Mark2, the vehicle exteriors, and created a digital mock-up of the electric two-wheelers using SOLIDWORKS and CATIA applications, with production set to begin in June 2021 and deliveries beginning in September 2021.
