Bangalore, India – Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) organized its first ‘IMTEX Connect’ on the digital platform from January 21-27, 2021. The event under the aegis of the IMTEX show brought its exhibitors together with visitors in a way that considers the changing market trends and industry dynamics.
The virtual show inauguration was graced by Jamshyd N Godrej, Chairman - Exhibitions, IMTMA, Indradev Babu, President, IMTMA, Ravi Raghavan, Vice President, IMTMA, and V Anbu, Director General & CEO, IMTMA.
Speaking about the first of a kind event, Godrej said, “The use and evolution of digital platforms has been a boon for industries as people could connect digitally to conduct business and achieve their goals. Industry has taken good advantage of the digital platform and we expect shows like IMTEX Connect to be the beginning of many such exhibitions in future.”
On similar lines, Babu elaborated, “IMTEX Connect 2021 was a medium for the manufacturing industry to digitally explore all the technologies that were on display. The show shed light on why industry should embrace an integrated approach to increase productivity and prepare people, processes and technology as part of their journey for manufacturing excellence.”
According to Raghavan IMTEX Connect 2021 will be a trendsetter for developing the machining and manufacturing ecosystem by keeping stakeholders connected in tough times.
In this backdrop Anbu opined, “Business is bouncing back after the coronavirus induced lockdowns and the prolonged economic slowdown. Industries are transforming and becoming agile with optimization of resources, leveraging innovations and new products.”
