Tokyo, Japan – Organized by the Japan Machine Tool Builders’ Association and Tokyo Big Sight Inc., JIMTOF (Japan International Machine Tool Fair) 2020 Online will be held from November 16-27, 2020. With 395 exhibitors, including 370 domestic exhibitors and 25 overseas exhibitors from 9 countries and regions will participate in the 12-day online exhibition and present latest products and cutting-edge technologies. A total of 8 seminars on wide-ranging topics will be held during the online exhibition period. These seminars will feature leading researchers and notable figures in the field of machine tools and robotics, offering insights into cutting-edge science and key trends about the future of technology.
The physical event originally planned for December 2020 was cancelled. However, it was agreed that JIMTOF 2020 Online will be held on-line in response to requests from exhibitors to create an opportunity to introduce new products and hold business talks. It will kick off with a keynote seminar by Ken Koibuchi, Senior General Manager, Advanced Safety System Field, Advanced R&D and Engineering Company, Toyota Motor Company under the theme of ‘Freedom of Movement for All – Development of auto-driving technology for the future of mobility’ on November 16, 2020. Closing the lecture with a special seminar, ‘GUNDAM moves at Yokohama – GUNDAM GLOBAL CHALLENGE’, will be held on November 20. The future of robotics technology as well as the GUNDAM GLOBAL CHALLENGE will be addressed by key members of GUNDAM GLOBAL CHALLENGE, which takes up the challenge of making the full-scale GUNDAM leap.
