New Delhi, India – It is slated that agriculture, manufacturing and services sectors are showing “green shoots” of recovery post-Covid-19. India’s manufacturing sector though is marred with a myriad of challenges yet at the same time is gaining momentum through government’s policies.
Reducing the Corporate tax and rolling out of the Good and Services Tax have further aided in attracting the manufacturers. Amidst pandemic, India became the world’s second-largest maker of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in just two months. To this end, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has entrusted India to become ‘Atmanirbhar’ or self-reliant and cut imports to the country by pushing domestic manufacturing.
The agriculture sector is also slated to prosper. The new reforms introduced by the government will facilitate building efficient value chains and ensure better returns for farmers.
India’s services sector has been recovering too with the average daily electronic toll collections by increasing four-fold. With eased restrictions and changed earlier governments' stance of ‘Jaan hai to Jahaan hai’ to ‘Jaan bhi Jahan bhi’, the business activities started to pick up in the country after being in a severe lockdown of two months.
