In one of the meetings with Amol Pawar, Regional Manager, Blaser Swisslube, the discussions focussed on improving productivity and quality in the machining process. Pawar explained the unique approach at Blaser Swisslube wherein customers benefit using technologically advanced formulations along with application engineering know-how.

Mehul Bhai trusted the comprehensive approach of Blaser and agreed to run a test. The project was set up with clear deliverables under the supervision of Savan Patel, Production Manager, Sigma Surgical. 

Solution for Enhanced Productivity

After a complete analysis of the machining process including tools, cutting parameters and the improvement goals, Pawar recommended performing tests with Blasomill GT 22 on the sliding head machines. From his experience, he knew that Blasomill GT 22 was a game changer — designed for high cutting performance, it also offered key benefits such as quick air release property and was perfectly suited for the machining process at Sigma Surgical. It is very low in emissions and ensures a very clean working environment.

Patel monitored the test results for over few months meticulously on aspects like tool life, component quality, surface finish, machine cleanliness, and smoke and mist levels, among others and was highly satisfied with the test results.

The results were promising. There was a significant improvement in tool life coupled with a reduction in cut time. This resulted in productivity improvements, leading to increased profitability. Product quality improved with better surface finish and dimensional accuracy. Remarkable reductions in smoke and mist led to a cleaner workplace environment.
