Twin Spindle Advanced CNC Chucker

Muratec’s (Murata Machinery, Ltd) workhorse, the MW120 Series, has evolved to a higher level. The advanced MW120EX twin-spindle chucker delivers high-precision turning and features a high-speed gantry that is lightweight yet offers excellent rigidity due to its material design. It is exceptionally effective for interrupted cutting conditions, thanks to the box guideways in the X-axis, and provides an outstanding surface finish. It is highly suitable for hard part turning applications, with a CFRP loader available as an option.

Some of the most suitable applications include automotive components such as inner races, differential pinions and gears, soft and hard turning, CVJ inner races, AC compressor parts, rotor vanes, as well as transmission and engine components.

This machine is available with a 6” or 8” chuck capacity and comes standard with an 8-station turret. A 12-station turret and twin gantry are available as optional features.

The MW120EX is equipped with a 7.5 kW spindle motor as standard, with an optional 11 kW motor available. Spindle bearing accuracies have been further enhanced to deliver better roundness, exceptional surface finishes, and extended tool life.
