Tool clamping systems are exposed to heavy mechanical loads. It is unavoidable that the tool pull-in force decreases over time. If the pull-in force falls below a specified threshold value without being noticed, there is a risk of rejects or, in the worst case, even machine failure. The Power-Check family from OTT-JAKOB is designed for checking the pull-in force of tool clamping systems. Three different variants are available:
Power-Check 2 for manual and automatic measurement;
Power-Check Magazine, which can remain permanently in the tool magazine; and
Power-Check Micro, which is specially designed to meet the requirements of small interfaces such as HSK EZ15, E16, and E20.
Thanks to a wide range of exchangeable adapters, the Power-Check devices fit all standard tool interfaces. The associated PC software allows convenient documentation of all measured values. Simply connect the respective base unit to the computer via a USB radio stick (depending on the variant, the stick is included in the scope of delivery).
