Tata Motors also offers customized courses with local colleges. These company-sponsored schools offer BTech, MTech, and Executive MBA degrees. Shop floor technicians can get a ‘Diploma in Engineering’ in auto electrical and electronics, mechatronics, and specialty welding from the company. Tata Motors worked with Gujarat’s Ganpat University to upskill 100 percent of the Ford India facility’s Sanand workers after acquiring it in January 2023. University-Tata Motors programs cover Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, Advanced Control Engineering, and Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Processes. The company offers equal chances to promote diversity and inclusion. At their Pune plant all TCF assembly line workers are women, demonstrating the company’s gender diversity commitment.
