Rotary friction welding has been known to create weldments stronger than the parent material, without the need for filler material, edge preparation, and shielding gases. This entire process is repeatable, operator skill independent, and takes only a few seconds (size dependent).

Following are some of the key features offered by the company’s Friction Welders: • shortest footprint and cycle time; • nil leakage of hydraulics; • precise length control; • orientation accuracy < ± 0.4°; and minimal maintenance and ease of service.

Solutions include single-head, twin-head configurations, with or without de-flash, manual to fully automated options, and tonnages up to 1000 T.
