Belagavi, Karnataka and Le Bourget, Paris – Bikar Aerospace GmbH, a German-based company, to establish an advanced service center at the Belagavi Aerospace Cluster (BAC), which will be completely operational by the first quarter of 2024.
At the recent Paris Air Show, the two firms inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop the advanced Aerospace Service Center. In the future, Bikar will offer semi-finished products made of aluminum, titanium, superalloys, and other metals utilized in the aerospace industry for storage and bespoke processing. Bikar sees Belagavi (North Karnataka) as an attractive location for aerospace manufacturers in India’s aerospace triangle—Belagavi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. Aequs Infrastructure operates BAC, India’s first notified precision engineering and manufacturing SEZ, which houses over 30 manufacturing units.
Alex Bikar, CEO, Bikar Aerospace GmbH, stated that this step demonstrates the company’s dedication to offering superior services to its clients while growing its position in the aerospace sector. He is certain that with the strategic position at Aequs and the construction of the Aerospace Service Center in Belagavi, Bikar will continue to thrive and satisfy the increasing needs of the sector.
As per Aravind Melligeri, Chairman and CEO, Aequs, Bikar’s selection of the BAC attests to the cluster’s success and usability to global aerospace OEMs for quality services spanning from raw materials to globally approved capabilities provided by manufacturing units inside the cluster.
