Mumbai, India - Godrej Aerospace, a business unit of Godrej & Boyce, has got into a ` 200-crore deal with aerospace major Rolls-Royce.
The contract comprises manufacturing products like unison rings, complex fabrication and external brackets and supplying 600 different components to Rolls-Royce’s civil aerospace engine portfolio. The company will make the parts at its new facility in Mumbai over the next five years.
With the goal to strengthen its foothold in the aerospace sector, Godrej Aerospace also inaugurated its Center of Excellence (CoE) in Mumbai with the investment of ` 50 crore to enhance its manufacturing capabilities in the aero engine industry.
