Kolkata, India – Quaker Houghton India won the Business Excellence Award at the ASSOCHAM Manufacturing and MSME Conclave 2022 in Kolkata. The Business Excellence Award is under the ‘Employer Brand of the Year Award’ category. During the conclave, Tridib Majumder, Managing Director, Quaker Houghton India, was invited to address the gathering and share insights about the MSME segment and its contribution to the nation’s GDP. He also described the journey of Quaker Houghton in India and how it has grown from a MSME to a large organization, and he invited MSME to be a part of Quaker Houghton’s growth journey in India.
Policymakers from the West Bengal Government, as well as senior officials, attended the conclave, which was favorably received by the public. Lalit Shankar Kushwaha, Director-Operations, Quaker Houghton India, also spoke about Excellence in Manufacturing, and emphasized that excellence in manufacturing should be a philosophy that exists throughout the organization and is a commitment.
Dr Shashi Panja, Minister-in-Charge, Industry, Commerce and Enterprise Women and Child Development and Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal; Chairman & Directors of ASSOCHAM and MSME; IAS officers; and notable industry personalities graced the occasion. The Minister-in-Charge presented the ‘Employer Brand of the Year Award’. The program included three technical sessions that covered various areas of MSME, including Prowess in Engineering and Manufacturing, Best Manufacturing Practices, and Accelerating MSME Business for Economic Development. Perminder Jeet Kaur, Sr Director - East & Northeast, ASSOCHAM, delivered the closing address.
