Altigreen Launches World’s Fastest-charging EV: neEV Tez

Bangalore, India – Altigreen, India’s leading commercial electric vehicle manufacturer, has launched the neEV Tez, a brand-new variant of its successful three-wheeler cargo EV neEV, in collaboration with Exponent Energy. The neEV Tez has a 98 km range (ARAI Certified) and an 85 km city drive range thanks to its 8.2kWh e^pack, a proprietary battery by Exponent built using regular LFP cell chemistry. It charges from 0 to 100 percent in 15 minutes using Exponent’s e^pump charging network, making it the fastest charging electric vehicle in the world.

The neEV Tez starts at INR 3,55,000, with a vehicle warranty of 5 years/1 lakh kms and an unprecedented battery warranty of 5 years/1.56 lakh kms. Previously, in August 2022, Altigreen and Exponent Energy announced their partnership to make rapid charging a reality for electric vehicles on Indian roads. The first product to emerge from this collaboration is neEV Tez, which features Exponent’s proprietary liquid-cooled battery and an industry-first performance of 0-100 percent charge in 15 minutes. The e^pump delivers 600A of current to the e^pump (15 times the industry standard) while managing individual cell characteristics, including thermals, to ensure safety, long battery life, and consistent performance even at 50 degrees Celsius. The company is confident in the battery’s fast-charge capabilities that it is offering an unprecedented warranty on it, with 3000 fast-charge cycles tested.
