Bangalore, India – Diebold Nixdorf, the world leader in automating, digitizing, and transforming the way people bank and shop, is expanding its footprint in India with the establishment of a new manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, rotating hardware manufacture and preparing for full-swing production in December 2022. The company has begun manufacturing its globally acclaimed, advanced DN Series™ cash dispensing and cash recycling machines in Bengaluru, India’s IT hub. This strengthens the company’s commitment to Make in India, supporting the Government’s ambition of making India a global manufacturing hub.
The dedicated unit was established in collaboration with its contract manufacturing partner in India, NASH Industries. Bengaluru is an obvious choice for this investment by the company because of its proximity to ports, ancillaries’ setup, and talent pool. The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility spans around 27,000 sq ft and has an inbuilt capacity of manufacturing more than 18,000 machines per year. The company is bringing its worldwide renowned manufacturing tools and technology to this site, allowing the company to adapt the plant’s capacity to accommodate any conceivable change in future demand.
This infrastructure expansion investment is in addition to earlier investments made by Diebold Nixdorf in India over the past 25 years. In Mumbai and Hyderabad, the company maintains dedicated Global Development Centres. Furthermore, it employs over 2,000 direct employees in the country who are vital to the success of the company’s global Software and Services business.
Jaivinder Singh Gill, Regional Vice President and Managing Director, Banking, Asia Pacific and Middle East, Diebold Nixdorf, said “Diebold Nixdorf’s newest state-of-the-art facility at Bengaluru is backed by the company’s deep manufacturing expertise and significant technology capability. The industry’s most advanced cash systems DN Series™, which will be manufactured at this facility, offer the financial industry’s highest capacity with the lowest footprint, are highly secure, have increased availability, and offer a highly personalized experience to consumers.”
He added, “The DN Series™ are powered by the world’s most innovative and reliable dispensing and recycling engines. This is just the start, and as banking and retail technology systems continue to evolve, Diebold Nixdorf will play a pivotal role.”
