Mitsubishi Electric India Introduces New M800V & M80V CNC Product Lines

Bengaluru, India – Mitsubishi Electric India introduced the M800V and M80V series Computerized Numerical Controllers (CNCs) with state-of-the-art solutions to revolutionize smart manufacturing in India. Keeping in mind the post-pandemic era of remote access and control, the new M800V and M80V feature the industry’s first CNC with built-in wireless LAN, allowing users to work efficiently without time or space constraints.

The all-new M800V and M80V series will add a new dimension and advancement to existing CNC technology, allowing manufacturers to run their businesses more smoothly. The new series’ innovative control functions enable machines to perform a variety of ‘things’ at high speed and accuracy. The company’s new CNC technology, which keeps up with manufacturers' needs and advances in ‘time’, efficiently optimizes manufacturing from the standpoint of ‘things’ and ‘time’.

The following features and benefits distinguish the new M800V & M80V as an innovative invention:

Increased fine segment processing capability and increased number of control axes: Improved hardware, specifically a dedicated CPU optimized for the new M800V and M80V, improves fine segment processing capability significantly. High machining program processing capability translates to a shorter cycle time. When compared to the conventional CNC series of products, the new M800V and M80V have more control axes, allowing for smooth control of more complex mechanisms.
3D machining simulation: This allows for early detection of machine interference and machining quality, reducing the number of workpieces discarded due to initial trial cutting and defective machining. The power consumption calculation feature visualizes machine power consumption, resulting in energy savings in factories. This feature allows the new M800V and M80V to take a step forward in the development of sustainable machine tool technologies.
Multi-touch operation and Improved Screen Design: New M800V and M80V series technology enables multi-touch features for smarter operations and higher accuracy. With the importance of clear visibility of information content on the screen in mind, this new CNC product line includes screen designs and colors that are optimized for readability and ensure better visibility, resulting in increased work efficiency.
OMR-CC (Optimum machine response-contour control): In this day and age of automation and rapid processing, the all-new M800V and M80V series include Optimum Machine Response-Contour Control (OMR-CC), which efficiently reduces cycle time while maintaining machining accuracy. This allows the machining process to run faster and saves time due to control processing which automatically corrects programmed/actual position errors.
Two-dimensional barcode engraving cycle: Manufacturing advancement and automation are critical to progress. The two-dimensional barcode engraved directly on the workpiece enables automatic selection of programs and tools, facilitating easy workpiece traceability.
Wireless LAN built-in: With the introduction of the M800V and M80V series, the company’s industry’s first wireless LAN functionality is introduced. This allows machine engineers to operate remotely using a tablet. It improves machine tool operators’ work efficiency, frees them from time and space constraints, and allows them to work remotely.

The product was launched at the Mitsubishi Electric India, CNC technical Centre in Peenya by Tomohiro Yoshida, Director - FAID Division, Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt Ltd, and Masaya Takeda, General Manager, CNC Systems, Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt Ltd, jointly with the Metal Cutting Industry leaders in India such as Nagesh Velaga, MD, Cosmos Impex (I) Pvt Ltd; Praful Shinde, CEO, Bharat Fritz Werner Ltd; Jayant Vaidyanathan, MD, Tsugami Precision Engineering India Pvt Ltd; D Shanmugasundaram, MD, S&T Machinery Pvt Ltd; Indranil Bhattacharia, VP, Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd; and KK Makwana, MD, KTM Techno Solutions.
