igus In-house Show Returns with 175 Motion Plastics Innovations

Cologne, Germany – igus presented 175 plastic innovations and product range extensions from all motion plastics areas at the Hannover Messe this year, including a plain bearing range made of regranulated plastics, the world’s first tribo 3D printing resin for very small components, or a particularly cost-effective, smart monitoring unit for sliding e-chain systems. With many of these new products to show, igus in-house exhibition is currently back on tour and can be easily booked for an individual visit.

A modular pop-up stand of 50 sq mt offers an exhibiting area with the latest from the world of lubrication-free and maintenance-free motion polymers as an alternative to the traditional trade show. For colder days, the new roadshow truck is an alternative: even at lower temperatures, conversations can be held comfortably and in a fully air-conditioned environment. When it comes to product solutions for cost-effective automation, igus sends out the Low-Cost Automation Van. It visits users alongside robolink articulated arm, delta, and linear robots, such as the smart ReBeL. The emphasis is on direct implementation of an application on the customer’s premises, which results in a quick return on investment.

Whether trailer, truck, or van, the aim of all variants is personal contact in a pleasant and familiar environment. Employees at igus collaborate with clients to discuss potential uses for products, present innovations, and assist with design. Visitors will also be introduced to the most recent cutting-edge tribo-technology. An offer designed specifically for employees who do not attend trade exhibitions and so do not have the opportunity to interact with igus products in person.

If required, igus also provides interested companies with this opportunity with a special info corner. Individual samples and more information are provided by the regional sales representative. Around 5,000 display stands have already been set up around the world, with 2,200 of them located in Germany alone. The igus motion plastics show (IMPS) is another simple approach to learning about new products. The physical stand, which is around 400 sq mt in size, can be visited online, and in its latest version 3.0, delivers multimedia and mobile information on the subject, ‘improve what moves’. The IMPS, which won the iF Design Award, is part of the digital support provided to customers; personal tours, as well as individual and group meetings, may also be organized at the stand.

“Taking things into your hands, trying them out, and then engaging in a personal exchange is still important for many users,” commented Tobias Vogel, CEO, Plain Bearings and Linear Technology, igus.
