Tuttlingen, Germany – CHIRON Group is continuing to follow its global growth strategy in 2022 too and announced its takeover of 90 percent of the Croatian company HSTEC. HSTEC stands for ‘high speed technique’, which refers to system expertise in the development, design, and manufacture of high-speed motor spindles for challenging machining. Clamping devices for machining centers and automation solutions round out the portfolio. Furthermore, it is a market leader in spindle services and repair for in-house products as well as spindles from other manufacturers.
CHIRON Group is expanding its capabilities and enhancing three areas of competence with the acquisition: complete development, manufacturing and assembly of critical components, motor spindles and turning spindles, for the Group’s machining centers. Turnkey projects can be designed even better in accordance with customer-specific specifications using HSTEC fixtures for workpiece clamping. In addition, the Group is expanding its global services to cover part repair, refurbishing, and optimizing of all motor spindles in existing machines.
Presently, it has a foothold in Eastern Europe with another of its own companies under the new name CHIRON Croatia and aims to better service customers in the region and continue to develop at the Zadar plant. Over 100 employees, 25 of whom work in engineering alone, bring the total number of employees in the Group globally to around 1,900. Mladen Šarlija, the current CEO, has been appointed Managing Director of CHIRON Croatia. HSTEC’s operations in Germany, the United States, and China will stay open, as will representation for Balluff, Bosch Rexroth, Hofmann, and Mitutoyo in the Croatian market.
HSTEC will remain a brand, joining the CHIRON Group’s other brands: CHIRON, STAMA, FACTORY5, CMS, GREIDENWEIS, and HSTEC.
