New Delhi, India – Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) recently announced a collaboration with Kyndryl, the world’s largest provider of IT infrastructure services, to elevate its IT and security transformation journey across HMSI’s manufacturing plants. Kyndryl currently manages infrastructure services for all dealers’ plant production applications, enterprise, and dealer management systems.
Bringing operational efficiency with an agile and improved customer service experience, the company’s renewed alliance with Kyndryl will improve infrastructure manageability and uptime through increased automation, while also improving cybersecurity and resiliency. The new partnership will integrate an on-demand Disaster Recovery-as-a-service (DRaaS) set-up for minimal outage and production loss during a crisis affecting HMSI’s primary data center, further enhancing the availability of HMSI’s business applications and IT systems.

In the event of a disaster, Kyndryl’s Cloud Resiliency Orchestration tool will restore HMSI’s primary data center to full operational status in seconds, and its resiliency architecture will span seismic zones for added flexibility to systems during a customer demand surge. Furthermore, Kyndryl will automate HMSI’s delivery and IT framework in order to address the process and compliance challenges that come with IT sprawl. This integration will provide a single automated executive dashboard for monitoring ongoing IT infrastructure systems and health checks such as patching, backup status, and provisioning.
