EKKI Pumps Appoints Dr Sujit Banerji of Warwick University as Chief Advisor

Coimbatore, India – EKKI, a pump and water technology major, has recently announced the appointment of Dr Sujit Banerji, Emeritus Professor, WMG, University of Warwick, UK, as chief advisor. Banerji will be in charge of strategy at the group level and will also contribute his expertise in globalization and operations management across the group. The Warwick professor, who has been commended as a ‘leading advisor and thought leader’, will assist the company and group management to design and execute an appropriate strategy.

Prior to joining the University of Warwick, he worked for IBM for over 30 years. With the Asia-Pacific region’s economy booming, he spent the latter years of his career spearheading IBM’s Strategic Outsourcing business, first as CIO and Vice-President of IBM (India), and then at the company’s ASEAN headquarters in Singapore. He received numerous lifetime achievement awards for his work while at IBM, in addition to publishing 80 major internal papers. When he retired from IBM in late 2004, he transitioned to full-time academia. He has worked with many Fortune 500 companies in a variety of countries and has served on the boards of several top companies.
