Rotterdam, Netherlands – Due to a change in production activities, the ceiling panel factory of Hunter Douglas is being auctioned on the online platform of Troostwijk Auctions. The auction closes on Thursday 31 March 2022. The aluminium factory, including powder coating installation, is being offered by tender. The tender closes on Wednesday 20 April 2022.
Hunter Douglas Europe, a world market leader in window treatments and fittings as well as a major manufacturer of building products, has decided to outsource aluminum smelting, casting, and rolling, and the manufacture of metal ‘tiles and planks’ ceiling systems, as part of a strategic reorientation. Troostwijk Auctions, Europe’s leading business-to-business auction house with global coverage, is selling the entire Hunter Douglas aluminum and ceiling facility. The auctioneer has mentioned that he anticipates a large number of international buyers from outside of Europe for both sales processes. Hunter Douglas has Dutch roots and is active in over 100 countries, including Asia, Latin America, and the United States.
The Hunter Douglas Aluminum Plant is being sold on a tender basis. The tender includes smelter, foundry, and rolling mill specials such as a melting furnace, a tiltable casting furnace, a block casting machine, a hot and cold rolling installation, a hot gas filter installation, a slitting line, an annealing furnace, and a fine young powder coating installation from 2020. The tender for the aluminum plant closes on April 20, 2022.
The Hunter Douglas ceiling panel factory is up for auction and includes various punches, punch and shear machines, shears, bending machines, and presses for both steel and aluminum. These generic metalworking machines are suitable for a wide range of applications.
