Dormer Pramet’s Miranda Acquisition Anniversary Celebrations

Ankleshwar, India – Dormer Pramet completed the acquisition of Miranda Tools in India more than a year ago. To commemorate the occasion, a special event was held, involving all employees located at the Ankleshwar production unit (PU), as well as sales colleagues from across the country. It was an occasion to appreciate and congratulate everyone engaged in the Miranda brand’s successful integration and transformation into the Dormer Pramet family.

Dormer Pramet has invested in various upgrades to workplace safety and health, as well as creating a better environment for employees since the acquisition, including sprinklers, air circulation systems, better lighting, and flooring for easy material movement. This operation also comprises an upgrade and refurbishment of machinery with an enhanced layout on the Tool bits and Endmills production floor. A designated location for the handling and disposal of process waste has been established, which is a significant step toward the company’s commitment to sustainability.

Furthermore, Dormer Pramet has created more than 750 new employment opportunities at the Ankleshwar site. This includes better employee facilities such as a new canteen, reception area, and designated parking for employees to travel safely throughout the main plant’s site. Another significant initiative has enabled more female employees to take critical roles in management positions, adding to Dormer Pramet’s diversity and inclusion objectives to ‘Make the Shift’. In addition, as part of its social and community development efforts, employees’ children were offered scholarships for higher education, and a tree planting campaign of 100 trees was launched in a village near the production unit.
