Schneider Electric Appoints New Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer

New Delhi, India and Rueil-Malmaison, France – Schneider Electric, a leader in energy management and automation digital transformation, has named Gwenaelle Avice-Huet as its next Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer, effective April 1, 2022. She joined Schneider Electric as Senior-Vice President, Corporate Strategy in 2021. As a member of the Executive Committee, Avice-Huet will be in charge of developing and deploying strategic, sustainability, and quality, and customer satisfaction initiatives, as well as overseeing all global mergers, acquisitions, and divestment activities.

She began her career in scientific research on nuclear energy at the French National Research Institute and the French Atomic Energy Commission before joining the World Bank as a consultant in Washington, DC. She also worked for the service of the French Prime Minister within the General Secretary of European Affairs, with responsibility for energy and competitiveness matters, and as an energy and climate change advisor for various ministers.

Avice-Huet previously worked at ENGIE (formerly GDF SUEZ) in various roles, from Senior Vice-President of European and Regulatory Affairs to leading the Renewables energy business. In her last role, she served on the ENGIE Executive Committee as the Chief Executive Officer of ENGIE North America and was in charge of the Global Business Line on Renewable Energies.

Avice-Huet has been on the Board of Air France-KLM since May 2021. She has also been nominated as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
