Taipei, Taiwan – TIMTOS x TMTS 2022, the very first alliance of two major machine tool shows in Taiwan, will be held from February 21-26 in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Hall 1 & 2. With 950 exhibitors in 5,100 booths, the event will not only be the largest trade exhibition in Taiwan since the pandemic's onset, but also the world's first machine tool trade show in 2022.
The Hybrid format is used for TIMTOS x TMTS 2022, which combines a six-day physical exhibition with a one-month online show. A series of hybrid activities and services are available to offer domestic and international guests, creating a novel trade show experience. As soon as registration started, the ‘Guided Tour’ featuring smart manufacturing was fully booked. Meanwhile, another popular service, ‘On-site Guide for Online Visitors’, draws heavyweight buyers such as FAW China, Siemens Turkey Branch, Mighty USA, Timken China, and Ohashi Giken Japan.
TAITRA, one of the organizers, indicated that the online services are only for overseas buyers who are unable to physically attend the expo due to border controls. Nearly 200 buyer requests to interact with exhibitors have been received. Furthermore, TIMTOS x TMTS 2022 will offer a lineup of seminars, forums, and four featured programs for domestic visitors, including ‘Smart Manufacturing Guided Tour’, ‘Manufacturers Win Podcast Live’, ‘Cutting Tool Hunter’, and ‘Afternoon Jazz’.
To halt the spread of the continuing pandemic, the organizer has put in place a number of technological measures to protect the health of all participants, including Disinfection Mobile Robots, touchless entry systems, and epidemic prevention kits distributed to each exhibitor, among other things. Online registration for visitors is available on the official website, www.timtos-tmts.com.tw, which also includes health and safety regulations and instructions for attendance.
