Amp Energy India Commissions Solar Power Project for Bosch Ltd

New Delhi, India – Bosch Ltd, a leading provider of technology and services in the areas of Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology in India, has partnered with Amp Energy India, India’s first truly balanced renewable IPP, for its solar energy needs. The solar project would have a capacity of 30 MW and would be supplied by Amp Energy India’s open access facility in Mallat Village, Raichur district, Karnataka. In the state of Karnataka, this is Amp’s third open access project.

Bosch Ltd and Amp Energy India have signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for solar power procurement. This recently commissioned solar open-access facility will generate approximately 43 MUs of green energy per year for Bosch Limited, accounting for around 40 percent of their energy consumption. This project will provide solar power to three Bosch plants/facilities in and around Bangalore, and by switching to solar power, Bosch will help mitigate approximately 31,000 tons of CO2 per year.

Amp Energy India, with its diversified portfolio of projects, has already developed large open access projects including some landmark projects such as the Largest Solar Open Access Project in Maharashtra (30MW), the First captive solar open access project in Uttar Pradesh (42MW), and its second open-access project in Maharashtra (13.5MW).
