Melbourne, Australia and Pune, India – H2X Global Ltd, an Australian vehicle and powered products manufacturer, and ADVIK Hi-Tech Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturing and development company, recently announced a joint venture for products and components for Hydrogen Vehicles and Powered Products for India and the Global Market. The vehicles and components were designed and developed by the H2X Global design team, and production is set to begin immediately to meet India’s rapidly increasing demand for hydrogen-powered equipment and vehicles.
H2X is led by a team with over 20 years of experience developing Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Vehicles and Power Systems in Europe and Asia and is currently working on several customer delivery programs for Fixed Power Generation and vehicles in Europe, Australia, South-East Asia, Africa, and South America. ADVIK is a global leader in automotive components, with a leading position in the Passenger Car, Commercial Vehicle, and Two-Wheeler production chains as a core supplier of high technology components to almost all major OEMs and annual revenues exceeding $100 million. ADVIK is a leader in high technology low weight applications, and together with H2X, will take the lead in the development and production of Hydrogen Power and Hydrogen Mobility solutions in India.
Starting right away H2X and ADVIK will start manufacturing H2X’s Series of Fuel Cell Powered Generators. H2X is currently deploying several of these units in Australia. The joint venture’s first generators will be used in a large-scale power system that will provide emission-free power to ADVIK’s state-of-the-art Research and Development Centre in Pune, India.
Over the past year, the two companies have been collaborating to explore Hydrogen opportunities in the Indian market, and as the country enters the Green Hydrogen Revolution, the Joint Venture is being launched to position H2X and ADVIK as key players within it. ADVIK will become a major global supplier of products and components to H2X, leveraging the company's significant power as a leading supplier in the Automotive Industry. ADVIK will also begin distribution activity for H2X products through the Joint Venture, leveraging the company’s local knowledge and network. The first products from the Joint Venture will be delivered to the market in the coming months, with the power system in Pune serving as the centerpiece of the Venture's launch. By demonstrating this, the Venture will stake its claim as a leader in the upcoming hydrogen revolution.
