Mitsubishi Electric India Launches Training and Demonstration Caravan ‘CNC-on-Wheels’

Bengaluru, India – Mitsubishi Electric Computerized Numerical Controllers (CNCs) has launched a ‘CNC-on-Wheels’ training and demonstration caravan. This vehicle was flagged off from the Mitsubishi Electric CNC Technical Centre in Peenya and will begin its journey in the Peenya industrial area before moving on to other industrial areas. Mitsubishi Electric CNC provides advanced CNC control systems to take customers’ machining needs to the next level of performance. The CNC packages and technologies are provided by the company for various factory machines. Mitsubishi Electric India established a CNC manufacturing facility in Peenya, Bengaluru, in 2017 to support the ‘Make in India’ initiative and assist industries seeking to adopt cutting-edge manufacturing technology.

Mitsubishi Electric CNC’s ‘CNC-on-Wheels’ initiative aims to improve India’s manufacturing ecosystem. The initiative will aid in the development of young machine operators’ skills and technical abilities in learning the most recent CNC systems. As a company, it does not want technology and knowledge to be limited to classrooms and customers; this initiative brings cutting-edge training methods to the industry’s skilled and semi-skilled labor so that they can see, learn, and gain hands-on experience with its products and feel confident in using them.

The ‘CNC-on-Wheels’ consists of two major CNC controls: M80, the company’s flagship product, and E80, a limited-feature product aimed at SMSe/MSMEs. The initiative is designed in such a way that a qualified Mitsubishi Electric engineer will always be present during the entire journey of the vehicle in the industrial areas, resulting in numerous benefits such as sharing knowledge of operations, applications, troubleshooting, explanation of specific features, and so on, which will be explained to the users.

Mitsubishi Electric India CNC is committed to guiding India toward a brighter future that is also sustainable for future generations. This initiative advances the cause of sustainable and efficient manufacturing by empowering the industry with sustainable technology and new production methods, ensuring that the industry and its manpower progress and lead India to become a manufacturing powerhouse in the years ahead. The initiative will be carried out in accordance with all COVID-19 protocols, ensuring society’s safety and well-being.

Against this backdrop, Masaya Takeda, General Manager, CNC Systems, Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt Ltd, said, “It is our prime interest that we are connected to the CNC operators and key decision-makers in the metal cutting industry. By deploying a new training and demonstration vehicle, we will support to increase the skill level of our CNC operators as a step towards the Government's ‘Skill India Mission’ and ‘Make in India’ initiative.’ We will continue to support the Indian manufacturing industry like we have been doing for some decades.”
