Bengaluru, India – Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) organized the ‘India Skills - National Competition on Robot System Integration’ as part of the ‘IndiaSkills Competition 2021’. From December 28-29, 2021, 14 students attended the three-day program held at the IMTMA Technology Centre in Bengaluru. The students were evaluated by a three-member jury from FANUC India, Indian Institute of Technology - Kharagpur (IIT-K), and IMTMA. Two of the student competitors would be chosen to compete in ‘WorldSkills Shanghai 2022’.
The Association has always been at the forefront of supporting skill development initiatives, and through NSDC and CGSC, it is actively supporting Skill India. Recognizing the importance of having a large workforce available, IMTMA has been conducting training programs at its Technology Centres in Bengaluru, Pune, and Gurugram, imparting skill sets to engineers that will allow them to work with minimal supervision.
