Addverb Technologies Adds Veloce to Drive the Warehouses of the Future

New Delhi, India – Addverb Technologies, one of the leading robotics and automation companies in India unveils its multi-carton picking mobile robot, ‘Veloce’, at the India Warehousing Show (IWS). The one-of-a-kind picking robot increases storage density by better utilizing vertical space and multiplies throughput, allowing the customer to save critical costs on warehouse space and associated costly rentals. The robot allows for autonomous storage and retrieval of cartons and crates up to 3.5 meters in height, making it ideal for retail, grocery, fashion and lifestyle, and e-commerce warehouses, as well as allowing easy return handling.

Veloce is a goods-to-person, multi-carton picking mobile robot that stores and retrieves cartons, cases, and crates. It navigates the warehouse using a QR-based guided path, picking only the cases required by the operator rather than the entire rack. The robot can carry up to eight crates and interact with a variety of automation systems, including picking stations, AMRs, conveyors, and ERP software. It follows the shortest path given by the Fleet Management System (FMS) and performs the operation of picking and storing/retrieving the cartons. The robot notifies the FMS when the task is completed and moves on to the next task. During this period, Veloce, which charges in 30 minutes and can run continuously for 4.5 hours, keeps the FMS informed of its battery status and automatically routes itself to a charging station before it runs out of juice. Furthermore, it includes multi-level safety and warning zones, ensuring a safe working environment for the workforce.

With the ongoing pandemic, global supply chains have come under scrutiny, putting warehouse managers under tremendous pressure to keep goods flowing and employees from becoming infected. Companies are now more likely than ever to readily implement technologies and innovations that minimize human contact to increase efficiency. Addverb Technologies has introduced many products to provide automation and robotics solutions for various industries in response to the increased digitization and heavy adoption of technology in industries such as e-commerce, health, aviation, food and technology, fashion, grocery, retail, third party logistics, pharmaceuticals, and auto components.

In line with the increase in digitization and heavy adoption of technology in the industries like e-commerce, health, aviation, food and technology, fashion, grocery, retail, third party logistics, pharmaceuticals, and auto components, the company has introduced many products to provide automation and robotics solutions for various industries. A few of their products include AMRs (Dynamo), Sorting Robots (Zippy), Robo-Shuttle (Veloce), Carton Shuttle (Quadron), Pallet Shuttle (Cruiser), ASRS (Multi-Pro), Pick-To-Light (Rapido) and cutting edge software like Warehouse Control System (Mobinity), Warehouse Management System (Optimus), Robot Fleet Management System (Legion) and Pick-By-Voice (Khushi).

Against this backdrop, Sangeet Kumar, Co-founder & CEO, Addverb Technologies, commented, “We are proud to add Veloce, to our portfolio of robots. The Goods To Person solution increases the picking efficiency through the ceiling and saves time and improves the capacity of the warehouse.
