Bengaluru, India – ABB India is electrifying the country with a smart, safe, and sustainable range of switches as it launches the Millenium and Zenit ranges. Both the latest switch ranges are ISI marked, providing customers with control, functionality, and comfort in smart buildings and premises that are easily upgradeable with the latest smart home automation solutions. Customers can use these switches, which are designed for both homes and commercial buildings, to switch from traditional lighting to an eco-friendly intelligent alternative.
The Zenit and Millenium switches will be manufactured in India at the company’s state-of-the-art Smart Buildings factory in Bengaluru. The factory is one of the first in India to introduce the assembly of switches using the company’s YuMi® cobot, a dual-arm collaborative robot designed to work safely alongside humans without the use of fences. Because of the increased efficiency achieved by the facility’s use of robotics and automation, the factory can produce over 1,000,000 switches per year.
The new range will also feature ABB-free@home solutions and the flexibility to combine all essential home automation functions into a single wireless system. These premium ranges of switches are also compatible with ABB i-bus® KNX, a smart system that allows all devices in a building to communicate with one another to ensure seamless and intelligent control of the building for improved comfort, safety, and energy savings. Both the Zenit and Millenium switch lines have a ten-year warranty on standard parts and a two-year warranty on electronics.

They include recyclable packaging options to reduce raw material consumption, as well as hotel access control and thermostats for building temperature control.
Zenit switches are available with additional features such as multi-room audio solutions with FM radio and alarm options, as well as music from any Bluetooth-enabled device. These switches, which are available in four colors with more than 130 functions, blend into the building environment, are simple to use, energy-efficient, and incur a minimal cost when compared to traditional electrical installations. Zenit switches stand out and can be installed quickly thanks to screwless and metallic mounting grids for conventional systems as well as home automation solutions.
